Rumble’s story begins with rhythm running through the family. Handed down a Roland 808, 909, and Juno 106 from his uncles’ funk and soul band, he discovered the art of programming and began sculpting his own sound. Those early machines became the foundation for a lifelong fascination with groove, tone, and the possibilities of electronic expression.
In the early 1990s, Rumble reunited with Marc Mac, Ian, Dego, and Gus (4Hero) at the pioneering Reinforced Records. Immersed in the creative storm of that era, he was loaned an Akai S950 by Dego and thrown straight into production—an experience that defined his approach to sound: intuitive, fearless, and grounded in experimentation.
From the early 90s to the present, Rumble has been a dedicated DJ and selector, performing across London’s underground scene and international stages, from old Iconic End Club (London) and the Club Watt (Rotterdam) to more recent Rupture’s 17th anniversary at Corsica Studios. His sets are known for championing the depth and diversity of underground electronic music, always supporting emerging artists and independent movements.Beyond the booth,
Rumble has long been part of London’s broadcasting culture. He curated and hosted the Jungle Sessions on Sky FM (1994–96), connecting listeners through Carnival and across the city’s club network. In 1997, he performed on one of the earliest internet radio stations, pirate-radio.co.uk, alongside Marc Mac, Rebel, Dego, and Gee (Cee’d). Since then, his voice and selections have featured on Kool FM, Dream FM, and Underground Lair, continuing a tradition of authentic, community-driven radio.
Today, Rumble remains deeply active in the scene with a Wednesday fortnightly show on Jungletrain.net, co-hosted with Monk C, and a NEW monthly broadcast on called on PIRANET.radio called The Continuum. His journey, spanning analogue hardware, pirate frequencies, and global digital networks, embodies the spirit of the UK underground: inventive, enduring, and always in rhythm with change
